An Update: Endings and New Beginnings

I guess I haven’t given y’all an update on my writing in quite some time! I do apologize, COVID and all the mania that came with it have kinda distracted me from blogging.

Well, I can tell you that the third and final installment of my His Name Was Zach series is nearly complete. I’m finishing the last round of editing, waiting on cover art, and will publish it hopefully by September but don’t hold me to that yet (no promises). I hope I can do that though, as I’m beyond excited to share Their Names Were Many with you!

But what will I do when this series is done? I’m glad you asked!

I’ve started a few different new books. After the heaviness of Abby’s story, I’ve wanted to do something a little more lighthearted and whimsical. With that in mind, I’ve begun a story set in a small town about two small business owners feuding for customers. I wouldn’t say it’s a comedy, but I want it to be a fun story!

I also have been brainstorming a new adventure series starring a treasure hunter set in modern day, and I’m rather excited to start this one as I already have three treasures in mind, for three books to start.

And lastly, I’ve started a fictitious retelling of my time in the Marines, focusing on the war in Afghanistan. This one will be done in 1st person present, so that’s presenting a new challenge for me.

So that’s what I’ve been up to! Now how about you? Tell me what’s been going on with you this summer in the comments!

  1. It’s great to hear that your writing is going so well, and the new ideas just keep on coming! I started a new novel set at the Sheldon Poor Farm in Vermont in 1968; then set it aside to work on a book of tanka based on family photographs.
